I find ‘The Block’ cringeworthy for two reasons;

  1. The producers intentionally put the contestants under pressure.
  2. They can edit whatever they like to create whatever they like – mainly controversy

Regardless of what anybody thinks,  the contestants are at a worksite. Therefore come under the H&S legislation, so risk to harm must be assessed.

An obvious risk is fatigue – yet the producers think that as long as a contestant signs off on a contract, then they are absolved of any liability.

Finally there is someone who has challenged this rubbish. I look forward to the result of this case. By the way the Australian legislation is almost the same
